"Second time's a charm"
30th April 2001 @ 3:07 p.m.
Man, I'm feeling a bit weird but that's understandable. What I don't get is that many people said I was more than capable of passing, only had 10 minor faults yet I failed. Personally I think that was down to the examiner, not me. We were in a queue of traffic and there was a junction on my left. The traffic just started to move and so did I, starting to pick up speed to move along when he suddenly said "Turn left". I was like: "YIKES!!" he could've given me a bit more of a warning, so I almost ran into the pavement. THe other thing was he said "You're looking for things that aren't there". And what does that mean in English? I just was checking my mirrors, after all there were people running all over the place. He never spoke to me to put me at ease. He just sat there with his pen and clipboard making me feel worse. Then when we got back (I must say the test went very fast!) he was all friendly. All I could think was 'NOW you're human!?' I don't feel too bad about it though cos I know it wasn't me, and I'm determined to go in for it next month. Apparently the examiner I had is retiring very soon. I would've loved any one of the other 2 examiners. They came out and took the other two girls out whilst I had to wait for mine to make an entrance. He didn't speak in the car and it really made my nerves worse, but I'm determined I'm gonna pass next time
